Eleven BCHL Officials Earn Invitations to 2026 NHL Officiating Combine
The National Hockey League has recognized the immense talent pool within the BCHL, extending invitations to 11 on-ice officials for the prestigious summer development combine.
The BCHL is proud to announce that 11 of its elite officials have been invited to attend the 2026 National Hockey League (NHL) Officiating Combine, taking place from August 20 to 23 in Buffalo, N.Y.
This annual showcase serves as a crucial pipeline for up-and-coming talent, offering officials unparalleled exposure to NHL supervisors. Selected participants will undergo rigorous physical testing both on and off the ice, combined with intense game action simulation.
“We appreciate the NHL continuously recognizing the high level of officiating talent we cultivate in our league,” said Brad Lazarowich, BCHL Vice President of Hockey Operations.
The selected officials representing the BCHL in Buffalo this summer include:
REFEREES: Scott Allan, Owen Lohmeier, Koletrane Wilson, Sydney Harris, Harrison Heyer, Tyson Phillips.
LINESPERSONS: Brad Ewing, Ashley Johnston, Eric Scherger, Trevor Thurston, Christian Yip.
